We had the absolute pleasure of capturing Jenna and Patrick’s fall wedding, and it was truly magical from start to finish. These two planned every detail together with so much love and intention, and their day reflected that in the most beautiful ways.
Their ceremony took place at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in German Village, a location that holds so much history and character. The church, with its timeless architecture and serene atmosphere, was the perfect backdrop for Jenna and Patrick’s heartfelt vows. As they exchanged rings and glances filled with emotion, the soft light streaming through the stained glass windows created a warm, intimate glow. The love between them was palpable, and I couldn’t help but feel lucky to witness such a special moment.
What made their day even more memorable was their sweet nod to a Southern wedding tradition: a month before their wedding, Jenna and Patrick buried a bottle of bourbon to ward off any chance of rain on their big day. They did this together, marking the exact spot where they would later dig it up. And sure enough, on their wedding day, the skies were clear, and the fall colors were at their peak! Just before heading to their reception, they unearthed the bottle, sharing a few laughs and sips to celebrate not just their marriage, but also their perfectly sunny day.
The reception was held at The Peak at Edison, one of the most unique and visually striking venues I’ve had the pleasure to photograph. The venue’s industrial architecture blended perfectly with the softness of Jenna and Patrick’s decor. High ceilings, light brick, and large windows framed the most beautiful golden hour light, creating an airy, glowing ambiance throughout the evening.
Jenna and Patrick’s reception design was simply breathtaking. They chose a neutral palette with warm, earthy tones that mirrored the stunning autumn landscape outside. Delicate lights twinkled overhead, and each table was adorned with lush florals and candles, adding to the dreamy, romantic atmosphere. It felt like the entire room was bathed in soft light, making everything—and everyone—shine.
One of the most special things about The Peak at Edison is how it allows the outdoors to blend seamlessly with the indoor space. The fall colors, which were in full bloom, seemed to spill into the venue. Guests could enjoy the crisp autumn air on the patio while still being part of the celebration inside. The venue’s industrial-meets-modern style, paired with the warmth of fall, made for a setting that felt both elegant and cozy.
Throughout the night, you could feel the heartfelt sweetness that Jenna and Patrick poured into every detail of their wedding. From the Southern tradition of the bourbon bottle to the carefully curated reception, everything was a reflection of their love and the joy they share with their friends and family. It was a celebration filled with laughter, happy tears, and the glow of the perfect fall evening.
Congratulations, Jenna and Patrick! Your day was one for the books, and I’m so grateful to have been part of it.
