Hailey and Robert were married at the Kramer’s family home this past Sunday and it was the most perfect fall wedding day (and I don’t just think that because I am biased or anything lol I really do think it was perfect)
For those of you who do not know, Hailey is my younger sister and from the moment Robert proposed, I wondered what the wedding day would look like. I know that might seem a little bit forward thinking lol but it is literally my job to help coordinate the weddings we are a part of. And when Hailey and Robert sat down with Mitchell and I to talk through planning and they said they wanted us to photograph the wedding, I am not even going to lie… I was nervous. I take our job so seriously that I didn’t know if we could do her wedding day justice while also being in the wedding. But the more I thought about it, the more I saw it as a huge blessing. I got to be a part of everything. I helped my momma plan and set up – we had a say in just about everything so it could be set up well from a capture perspective. I got to watch my dad’s first look with Hailey. I got to spend sweet first moments with Hailey and Robert while we did portraits right after they saw each other for the first time. I got to watch my husband lead portraits that I was in (bridal party photos, ceremony photos, family photos) and that was super cool to me. I loved being so close to all the action and I am so grateful for the ability to capture my sister’s wedding day.
Their ceremony was outside between beautiful fall trees and officiated by our cousin, Kurtis. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a charcuterie cocktail hour as we finished portraits. Hailey and Robert entered their reception and celebrated the remainder of the evening with family and friends. We went back outside for some sunset photos and then sent the new Mr. + Mrs. Kramer off with bubbles.
I NEVER pass my equipment off to anyone besides Mitchell or David (the usual team members), but my other brother, Max, asked me if he could try… and if any of you know Max, you know why I would be a little reluctant lol. He is 11 years younger than me and I still think of him as my baby brother sometimes… but I decided to let him try. I gave him my cameras (WITH A HARNESS lol) and HOLY SMOKES… I might have a new assistant. He was a natural and I almost couldn’t believe it as I was culling through photos. I think it might run in the family lol
Hailey and Robert, thank you so much for all of your trust, your positive attitudes, and every second you let me be a part of. I loved getting to be a part of your special day and I hope you are having the most amazing honeymoon!
